Fireworks Mistaken For Gunshots Puts Arlington School In Lockdown: Police

Washington-Liberty High School was place on lockdown when fireworks were mistaken for gunshots Tuesday, July 19, authorities said.

Officers arrived at the school at around 7:50 a.m. and found evidence of fireworks that were set off, Arlington County Police reported.

Police said no injuries were reported and no weapons were found, but the school will remain in lockdown until officers search the entire building.
